Perlane is a wrinkle filler that restores lost volume and youthful contours, and
smooths away deeper wrinkles.
How Perlane Works:
Perlane gel is injected into the skin with an ultra-fine needle. Perlane's gel particles can reach deeper into skin tissue, which makes it ideal for volumizing and lifting effects. Commonly, Perlane is used to help create fuller lips and to fill deeper facial folds. Its counterpart, Restylane, is more suited for the cosmetic treatment of finer wrinkles and more superficial facial folds and wrinkles.
Perlane Advantages:
Relatively painless
Patients typically feel mild discomfort depending upon individual reaction to ultra-fine needles
Long lasting (6 months)
No down time
Non-surgical, non-invasive
Perlane Efficacy and Safety: Perlane has been used by dermatologists and plastic surgeons since 1996 worldwide and is used in over 70 countries. It is the most studied cosmetic filler on the market and the subject of dozens of publications. In clinical studies, there was no difference in the safety of Perlane and Restylane. Over time, the body breaks down and eliminates Perlane, unlike permanent fillers. Perlane leaves no scars or other traces on the face. Perlane is FDA approved.
People with severe allergies marked by a history of anaphylaxis Anaphylaxis: accute, severe whole-body allergic reaction. or presence of multiple severe allergies should not have Perlane treatments. Patients who are using blood-thinning medications, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, as with any injection, may experience increased bruising or bleeding at the injection site. Please inform us if you are using any blood thinning medications.
What to expect afterwards There may be some redness and tenderness at the injections site, and some post-injection bruising, or mild swelling, which usually resolves itself within a few days. If laser treatment, chemical peeling, or any other procedure based on active dermal response is considered after treatment with Perlane injectable gel, there is a possible risk of an inflammatory reaction at the treatment site.
